Pastor's Perspective
We say that the church is the body of Christ in the world. One thing that means is that the church is a physical and visual representation of Jesus. The world sees Jesus through the words and actions of his followers. Another thing that means is that we are one body, cooperative, vital, ever-renewing and changing and adapting to the changing world. And finally, that means that the church, this church, is the people who gather here. It is not the denomination nor the pastor. When you come to Good Shepherd, you are the church, from the first time you open the door, sit in a pew, worship and pray. You are the church, and what it will become is up to you.
